If you’ve ever experienced the serenity of a luxurious spa, you know the feeling of never wanting to leave. Whether you soak yourself in thermal waters or lounge in a steamy sauna your mind clears and boom! You feel like a new person! If you would like to transform your bathroom into a relaxing space, then a spa is a great place to get ideas from. Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life,  there’s no denying that we all deserve a bit of pampering.

Here are a few simple upgrades and additions to transform your bathroom (small or big) into a spa repeat (and get a bit of peace and quiet).

Declutter & Organize

First things first, we can all agree that a messy, cluttered bathroom is not that relaxing. To create a spa-like environment the first step is to declutter and organize your bathroom. Get rid of any unnecessary items, such as expired products or unused toiletries, to create a clean and serene environment. You can invest in storage solutions like baskets or shelves to keep your essentials organized and out of sight.

Lighting

Lighting is crucial in setting the mood for relaxation. Opt for soft, warm lighting options such as candles, or LED lights with adjustable brightness. Soft lighting not only creates a calming atmosphere but also helps to reduce eye strain and promotes relaxation.

Candles have the benefit of soft lighting and scent- my favorite!

Music to set the mood

The waterproof Bluetooth speaker is a great option to stream your favorite music or soothing music/nature sounds in your shower or tub. It’s budget friendly and has amazing sound.

Aromatherapy

Scent plays a powerful role in relaxation and mood enhancement. Incorporate aromatherapy into your bathroom by using scented candles, essential oils, or reed diffusers. Choose fragrances like lavender, eucalyptus, or jasmine known for their calming and stress-relieving properties.

Robe & Towels

Invest in good quality towels. And a robe is a must! I love this one.

Flowers

Add some greenery/flowers to bring life into the room! Whether they’re placed on the countertop, hanging from the ceiling or just at the floor, plants are the easiest way to transform your bathroom.

Soap dispenser sets/ soap tray

Place your soaps and lotions into dispenser sets that will make your bathroom feel more luxurious than the typical grocery store hand soap/lotion. Wood/stone trays are a good option for soap.

Pour a tea or a drink

Whatever makes you feel more relaxed

Armchair

If space allows it, set up a small armchair in the bathroom, so that you can unplug before or after the bath.
