In today’s hectic daily routines, it’s all too easy to get caught up with work and responsibilities, often neglecting to prioritize quality time with our partners. Whether it’s planning outdoor activities or cozy nights in, making time for one another allows us to escape the stress of everyday life, but also serves as a reminder of cherishing each other’s company and making special memories.
Here are some date ideas we’re considering with my husband:
1. Enjoying coffee or tea on the go, while taking long walks around the neighborhood and talk about everything. This simple yet meaningful activity is one of our favorite weekly rituals.
2. Opting for a cozy night in and cooking together. Whether choosing to try a new recipe or attempting to make sushi from scratch, cooking together always promises a fun experience.
3. Taking classes together such as cooking classes or dance classes, which are not only super fun but also romantic.
4. Treating ourselves with couples’ massage. A more luxurious activity we typically reserve for vacations or special occasions.
5. Creating a spa night at home by lighting candles, putting on soothing music while soaking in a warm bath for two. Add some bubbles and bath salts to make it more relaxing.
6. Exploring hiking trails around the State.
7. Long walks around the city to see the foliage or blooming spring flowers.
8. Visiting a winery as a day-trip for wine tasting.
9. Volunteering together for a cause we care about.
10. Creating a cozy move night at home with pillows and blankets, popcorn and our favorite movies.
11. Evening out at a cocktail bar. We usually set date nights to try out new cocktail bars or restaurants around the city.
12. Game night- spend the evening laughing and bonding with ‘We’re not really strangers- couples edition’, ‘The couple’s game’ or ‘TALK, FLIRT, DARE’.
13. Planning our next vacation- research destinations and create a bucket list.
